What if it's all a big historic hoax!?!?! How can anyone be sure??

How can anyone be so sure that they really, really "know" Jesus?

Atheists and Humanists have long, wonderful lives (if you read their testimonies on Atheist websites, instead of just assuming that you know all about them...) - that are just as meaningful and loving and miraculous as the lives of those who claim that Jesus is in their lives!

How does a Christian think that their experience is with the actual Jesus, when there is ample evidence to prove that it is likely a simple psychological phenomenon?

Shouldn't Christians reject a questionable faith, in order to establish some manner of sound mental health?

could it be that faith in Jesus is right, and it is the non believers that are mentally challenged?
think about it, if you are not afraid to challenge your faith.
I challenged mine and it proved up to the test, will yours?

I am a christian, and I believe that there is so many facts and information that Jesus does exists. Everyone has there own relationship with God, and have diffrent religions. I can say for me that being a christian and following the bible and believeing that not just being good will get you into heaven,
For people who dont believe and think it may be a hoax for God isnt real, then think about this... What if he isnt real? Then what do you have to lose by having a personal relationship with him.. Not only does it give you peace of mind and a loving soul you know that you will go to heaven by having the personal relationship. And if you Dont think he is real and you dont have a personal relationship then you just might live the rest of your life in Hell.
you see religion if a touchy subject and everyone has there own opinions. so, you have to believe and trust that your is right !

One chick wrote...."there is no chance there is any other way to salvation than through Him. If people reject Him, they will be lost forever" How did you arrive to that conclusion? Are you reciting what your parents and pastor have told you your entire life? It is just a ridiculous statement.

And Da Mick, what are you trying to say? Take an english class.

Faith in Jesus could be wrong, you need to make up your mind for yourself.

Another girl wrote something like....you've never seen a million dollars but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist........this is not a valid example in any way. I have seen a million dollars in cash (Las Vegas), it does exist. Bill Gates has 64 billion dollars, that is a very real number. It is not an abstract thought or belief like god, or "jesus" the figure that Christians have made him out to be.

Well to answer your question Jesus IS NOT WRONG. You may think that Atheists and Humanists live a long wonderful life but when they die they are going have the worst iternity. I know that my experience is with jesus because i can feel him with me aslo i pray to him about the crasiest things and he always answers my prayers (like if i dont want to do something ill ask him to change it etc)So i think if u realy want to have a great life and eternal life with jesus in the best place in the world (heaven) then i think u should go to a church or read a bible or just talk to someone remember JESUS LOVES YOU even if u dont know or love him

You have just seen the side of Atheist testimonies, so i think its time now for you to look on the other side(Christian findings)even science are now testifying the authenticity of the bible! some archeologist have found out a coin that has an image of Julius Caesar which proves that there was a time, a man named julius caesar has lived in this planet and it was clearly mentioned in the bible for a long long time ago! and there are lots of scientific evidence now proves and support that the bible is authentic!

the knowledge of Christ comes thru the born again experience and the revelation of the nature of God...that His love is so great He gave His Son for redemption of mankind.

the Christian life is one of peace and joy...that rely on the strength of Christ who is in a follower. athiests, humanists and the like all look internally for their strength which is only temporary and usually motivated by selfish ambition.

faith is the hope of the things not seen....to reject it is to reject God. Gods promises are true....sound mental health is a good thing....but sound spiritual truth is better. Reliance on God is not crazy...but wise.....†

It's like this: All my life I was unhappy. But I found God, through a really good philosophical work (Boethius, consolation of philosophy), now I am happy.

So my conclusion is, God is happiness.

Am I right? Am I wrong?

Who cares? All I know was, I was miserable before, now I am happy now. Am I born again? No, because I don't want to abandon my previous life as worthless and futile, because it was important for me to understand and remember who I was, just as it is important for me to understand who I am now, and who I will become.

As for God, it's like a little cheer that I do to get me in a positive mind frame. I think there's intelligence in believing in a higher power, just not intelligence in letting other people control your mind through this concept. Big difference.

No, faith in Jesus is not wrong.

In my personal opinion...there is no chance there is any other way to salvation than through Him. If people reject Him, they will be lost forever. This life is very short compared to all eternity. Thinking you're doing "just fine" without knowing God, while perhaps not bringing obvious reprecussions in this lifetime, will have eternal consequences.

This is the only thing I think that everyone should do -

Constantly question and look for answers, remembering that the truth is not afraid of scrutiny.

That led me to atheism, and I think it would lead more to atheism as well. But it's the method of thinking, not the actual atheism, that's most important.
