During sex and orgasm, why do you scream "Oh God!"? (if you do, that is)

Are you actually calling him, and hoping he'll show up? Are you expressing your gratitude? Something else?

I think most everyone just means it as an expression. :-)

Well, since I'm Pagan I often scream, "Oh my gods!" lol! Just kidding (not about the Pagan part). I'm actually an, "Oh yeah" person myself.

well, if one were an informed christian he would know that god, is a title not a name so calling on a title would not be blasphemous.

Lol, curse you for converting my question ;p

Anyways, I think it has something to do with "Praise the Lord for giving us the pleasure of the flesh, secks."

Not a Christian, but I would have thought that for a Christian, to do as you suggest would be considered minor blasphemy.

I stick to the religiously neutral "***** yeah!"
