The sound on my computer is not working and i noticed there was no default audio device, how do i download that or something?

I have made sure it is not on mute or anything like that, there is not even a icon showing up. I went to the control panel and to sounds and it doesnt have a default audio device.

it sounds like either a driver or a hardware problem. first check to make sure you have a sound card and that it is installed properly. if it is and still no sound, check to make sure you have the proper driver installed for your particular soundcard. the driver and installation instructions should be available from the manufacturer's website. if that doesn't solve the problem you may have a bad soundcard, in which case it's time to buy a new one.

Are you sure you don't have the sound on mute?
