I was thinking of ham, but I also love roast pork, roast beef, and lamb.

What do you think is the best dinner for Easter?

What is the most traditional Easter dinner in your opinion?

Any info or suggestions would be helpfull.

Thanks.

I will be preparing a meal for 6 or 7 people on Easter Sunday. Can't decide what to serve.

Those are all good choices. I was thinking of making something with chicken like fried chicken or chicken in the oven with vegetables. But those are only the ideas I can think of.

Well the tradition in our home has been Leg of Lamb. What I serve is the following:

Roast Leg of Lamb
Oven Roasted Potatoes with Sliced Onions
String Beans Almondine
Fresh Made Cranberry Sauce (my favorite)
Fresh Apple Sauce
Stuffed Mushrooms
Glazed Carrots
Brocolli sauted in olive oil and garlic
Huge Salad with Cukes, Red Onion, Arugula, Romaine Lettuce, Grape Tomatoes, served with olive Oil, red wine vinegar and a little Balsamic
Dinner Rolls
Dessert is usually Home Made Cheese Cake
or Home Made Apple Pie
Italian Pastry too

if you are preparing food for religious people you may want to rethink the ham, Lamb is the traditional food of easter to celebrate the Lamb of God and his sacrifice that day. Roast beef or a turkey might due well and is much cheeper and easier prepared. Lamb taste wonderful when you have good reciepes and are use to cooking it but not so great if you try to cook it like other meat with no recipe or direction.
but it depends on who you are dining with and your budget hope you have a great day.

My favorite (and my family's traditional) Easter Dinner is ham.
For sides I like spinach mashed potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce, Grandma's lemon-pear jello salad.

I also think ham is the easiest to prepare of those things you mentioned although beef and pork roast together is pretty easy to prepare and I love the gravy it makes.

For me, it has to be Roast Rib of Beef & Yorkshire Pudding!
