I design tats, mostly Celtic. Give me a bit more detail as to what you are looking for and I can see what I can do.

I would go to your potential tattoo artist and describe what you are looking for and they will be able to start with a rough sketch of your idea. Then with some adjusting and input on your part on what you like and don't like you should be able to come up with a design that you will be pleased with. The artists are usually very good at drawing up what you want and then being able to tweak it to the image you have in your mind. This way you will also have a tattoo all your own, not one that several people have or will have. That is what I have done and every time have been pleased with my results. Good luck

Hate to burst your bubble, but wings have been done. I have a couple tats on my back and the only thing that I do regret is that I got two random pieces that don't really go together. If you are really into it, get one back-piece. Buy yourself piece by piece, or an outline, and slowly color(they take a long time.) They are so much more impressive and its easier to go original. Again, the wings are old.

Go to the tattoo shop where you are going to get the ink done and check out the flash work. If the shop is doing any kind of business, they will have all sorts to look through and you should be able to find something. The artist should be able to draw something as well if the flash does not work out.

here is a link to ratemyink. i put in a specific search for wings. not all of them are great but you may be able to find a style that you want. after that you just need to find a picture of a crown that you want.

Your artist isn't able to do a custom one for you? Maybe give him a general idea as to what you want and let him/her create one for you....
