I made a list of Christian websites that deal with "evidences" for Christianity (Apologetics). I had all the reccommended and best of the best ones listed (Which I study intensely)...
and someone on a religious forum gave me a list of all the best Atheist websites and challenged me to compare and contrast.
I thought (of course) that it would be no problem - I mean, the Bible is true, right?
That's what I thought, too!
I spent countless hours, digging through the information and checking resources and credibility of the sources, etc...
The Atheists had an answer for every point! They were familiar with all the apologists and all the defenses! Now, it's one thing to disprove Christian claims, but when it is done so thoroughly that I had to re-evaluate the soundness of my very very precious faith, I am left with no rationale to believe.
My friends, God Himself cannot blame me for using my brain! What is one supposed to do? Stay the course?
I tell you it is impossible!

I do not know about teh validity of God, but I do know that Christianity is indefensible, scientifically, historically and philosophically!
Now, I know all the "proofs" that you will fire back at me, but it only shows me that you have just not been interested enough to investigate the counter-arguments to what you are trying to say.
I say to you, just look up the counter-arguments for your own "proofs" and arguments.
I didn't do it for years, properly, but it's plain and simple.
Just make your claim. and do a search on the opposite of your claim and decide for yourself!!!
It's not that hard.
People prefer to believe only thhose things that they prefer to be true!
Don't be a slave to this statement!!

Read Lee strobel he is very good at apologetics. Like the case for faith and the case for Christ. Nothing wrong with using your brain. Thats the way God made it. But there is something wrong with ONLY using it. Faith comes from the heart too!! Not everthing can be explained by logic and reason and argument! Sometimes you cant explain love

I've been there. All i can say is be honest with yourself and remember, the truth isn't necessarily what you want it to be. John 8:32 reads, "the truth shall set you free." I assure you that it does, but it won't necessarily be pretty.
In my case, i was left without a single reason to believe in God, and discovered that the world actually made *more* sense without adding a god to the equation. It was tough abandoning all i'd been taught, but the dire consequences that were predicted never turned up!
However, i cannot make this decision for you. I applaud you on your open-mindedness and willingness to face the truth--whatever that may be. I wish you peace in your search.

How can Atheists, even say they are Atheist. They only exist because God does exist. or they would have no belief system. They try to make 100s of points not to believe God, but they are scripture too. they are satan's seed. (by their fruits) can you imagine paying for someone else turning away the word of God. if I cause a man to lust, I am responsible for his sin because his actions were caused by me. same with atheist if they cause others do disbelieve God's word. surely you have read many times in the bible where death came to those who turned away from the Word of God. what a price to pay. can you imagine how much more wrath comes to those who are winning souls for the devil. Remember, you don't have to serve Satan for him to win, you just have to stop serving God for the devil to win
since you like using the brain, if there is a false, there has to be a TRUE (isn't that right)
what else would say something is false, if there wasn't truth?
the bible says He (God) hid the truth from the wise and prudent but revealed it unto us as babes
babies can't think on their own. they eat and hear only what their Father gives them to eat and hear. That's me. I just take God for his word.
In the scripture, you always read about god in your heart, not in your head. your mind is what Satan needs, your heart is what god needs.
My heart belongs to God. do you also notice that in scripture, it speaks of what is in your heart comes out of your mouth, it totally skips your brain, did you notice that??
don't be a "doubting Thomas" (he's the one who believed on Jesus because he saw and touched him), but scripture says "Blessed are they who HAVE NOT SEEN, YET BELIEVE"

allright then 1st of what was it about? second of al lotz of peops will try to prove GOD wrong some of them might do xactly that but i think u yourself just need proof i don't know myself but i know there is a GOD but again that's my belief and you may just be havin a crisis but...hey i'll still pray 4 ya

There are a lot of alterations in the bible. But God does exist. Read the Quran. It is completely pure and unaltered.
