A temperature of 103 F and above is alarming. At around 104 - 105 F you could begin to experience convulsions. If you've reached a temperature of 103 F and you have been taking Tylenol every 4hrs and your condition remains the same or becomes worse you definetly need medical attention.

I'm a nurse. The average temp is 98.8. A 1 degree up or down fluctuation is normal (97.8 - 99.8). If you go up another degree it's considered a low grade fever (100.8). Up another degree is a fever (101.8). Above that is a high fever.

anything over38 degrees celcius is considered a fever. I believe that 41 degress C or high is considered a high fever

There is usually no cause for real concern until it reaches around 102 degrees. But at 101 I'd give tylenol/advil. At 102 I'd call a doctor (if it won't go down).
