Melissa, your cat may be suffering from food allergy. Food allergy symptoms are diarrhea, vomiting, skin rashes, etc.. I suggest that you take your beloved pet to the vet. He/she should prescribe a 'hypoallergenic' diet to give to your cat. A hypoallergenic diet is one that doesn't contain the usual ingredients in cat food. As an example, the hypoallergenic diet may contain lamb instead of the usual chicken or beef. This is just a way of testing what's causing the problem.

If under hypoallergenic diet, the problem doesn't surface anymore, your vet may reinstate the original diet to see if that is what's causing the problem. It's a bit time-consuming, but we do this for our pets, and it's worth it.

Hello - it could just be a sensitive tummy and a diet change may help. I definitely wouldn't give the kitty pepto, especially if it does contain acetaminophen. My kitty consistently throws up - has for years. When it finally became a weekly ritual and apparent that he was experiencing abdominal pain, we visited his doctor and he underwent blood work, a test for pancreatitis, and an endoscopy procedure (not inexpensive) which showed that he had inflammatory bowel disease - which requires veterinary treatment and medication. You really should speak to your vet just to make sure kitty is okay. If you are lucky, it will just require a change in kitty's diet. Good luck!

I had two cats who also had sensitive tummies and here are some of the brands i tried that worked well: Medical - Hypoallergenic dry food, Wellness Non-grain dry food, and Eagle Pack dry food. They were good on all three brands but prefered the Eagle Pack in the end. I'd also stay away from wet food (unless it's a non-grain wet food).

And maybe get some cat grass. It helps too.

Good luck!

Yes . There are special food formulated for your cats specific needs. But your vet. will take a medical history first and maybe even do some blood work and x-rays to rule out anything else.

I would not recommend giving your cat pepto bismol..that may make matters worse because it has acetametaphine in it which could be very harmful for your cat. I would take your cat to the vet and discuss this problem with them.

You might try Purina One Sensitive Systems. If this continues you may want to take her to the vet for a checkup cause it could be inflammatory bowel disease or hyperthyroidism.
