My cat acts like he's feeling fine but his right eye has be "weeping" for two days.
He's sneezed a few times too. Can cats have colds?

my mom is a vet and she helped with the answer , use a warm compress on the eye like a wash rag and then take her to the vet . but i would first try cleaning it and see how it is in the morning . if she has ever had this before and you have a topical for it use that as well. more then likely they will give a topical to put on the eye . if you have this topical already 1/4 strip on infected twice daily for 3 to 7 days. try it on both just incase

Yes, cats can have colds. The weeping eye also can be a symptom of an infection, for which he will need drops or ointment. If it continues, he'll need to see the vet. An untreated eye infection can lead to more serious problems later on.

Cats can have colds. Herpes may also cause sneezing and eye problems in cats. He might have scratched his eye too and have a small corneal scratch causing all the weeping. Something that got lodged in the nostrils occluding the small duct that goes from eye to nose can also cause sneezing and tearing (happened to my cat once, got a little seed in his nose). I'd clean his face w a warm towel, keep it low stressed and consult a vet.

Sometimes cats will have cold. You should take her to the vet if she is sick and don't let your cat go to the road.
