easiest for you ..for her ? It is nice that you do care how you do it..because some would just never call her again and avoid her calls .... ..others would send a letter or email ... you could prolong it by be busy a lot and always in a hurry but in some cases the other becomes clingy and that doesn't really work ...so all the blah blah blah ...best just to tell her you want to talk alone..do not do it in front of people ...then tell her you don't know why and it is nothing that she did but you don't feel like you used to and do not want to date right now ...she may be hurt and you may at some time want her back but that is not at issue now ...

The kindest way is the best way and with less drama.

Be in a private place with her and just tell her what you told us. Tell her that maybe in the future the two of you might get back together but for now you want to be free to date around.
Tell her the love you once had for her has slipped away.

She'll probably cry but let her. Hold her for awhile and stay with her for 2 or 3 hours before you leave.

It's just the polite thing to do.

Good luck and I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out.

Be honest. Just tell her she is sweet and would make someone very happy, but you just don't feel the way you used to and you don't want to lead her on by giving her false hope. Tell her the time you spent together was great, but you just don't want to be with her any more. Tell her you are not out to hurt her. Then of course you could always say that you hope you can be friends. Good Luck.

There is no easy way. But if you put the reason on you and not on her, it may go a little smoother. You could even go as far to say that you are not a good match for her, but don't get into explaining it.

I assume you feel that rediscovering that feeling that you used to have for her is not possible.

the best thing that you can always do is just be honest with her and let her know how you feeling about the relationship.. let her know why you dont feel the same way anymore.. talk things through and maybe there are some things you can do together that may get a spark back into the relationship for you..

I would say that you should be honest, but not brutally honest. You may be shocked to find she feels the same way. Tell her you have no bad blood with her, it's just that you feel your relationship may be at a standstill, and you don't feel the same way. Remember, she may be upset about it, but she will understand after a while.

You've been together that long, the least she deserves is an explanation. So just go over to her, and tell that you dont feel the same way about her anymore and that you want to break it off.

If you have a conscience, there typically is no "easy" way to break up with her. If you don't want to look like a dick, break up with her in person and explain to her how you feel about her, and a couple "I'm sorry's" never hurt.
