Red eye fights are only available from the west coast to the east coast with the exception of Hawaii. Airline standards state that all flights have at least 45 minutes connection time with a maximum of 2 hours. Depending on where you are traveling from and to you may not meet these standards. If you are unsure you can always call the airline to find the schedule then try to book those specific flights on the Internet.

Could be a few things to consider.

First, what market are you flying out of? Generally, red eyes are only out of key markets on the west coast. And generally there are only a few out each night, and those few generally go to the airline key hub on the east coast. SO....that being said...there are not a lot of red eyes in general.

Second..and maybe key also...be careful about HOW you search for your flights. Many times when searching, your search criteria might exclude red eyes or next day arrivals in domestic markets. It's important to also note that due to limited number of red eyes, for many routes, a red eye may not be a resonable scheduled route.

Third....red eyes are not always the "cheap" flights...many times, it's the early morning flight....or in reality it could be ANY flight of the day. If your quest is the cheapest seat, I suggest using a meta-search engine like kayak.com or farechase.com, and be sure to include a search on southwest.com.

US Airways/ America West has the red eye market cornered right now. They have several such flights that hub out of Las Vegas every night around midnight. They are usually priced much less than the daytime connections which use Phoenix as a hub. You can best locate these flights at their direct website

Airlines list all their available flights on the internet, so if there aren't many then there just aren't many red eye flights on a particular route.

I was wondering the same thing.
I like red-eye flights, because you can actually sleep.
Well at least I can.
