WHEN I HAD BAD ACNE, SOMEONE TOLD ME TO PUT ENOUGH SALT AND MILK IN A BOWL MIX IT TIL IT TURNS PASTY , AND THEN MASSAGE IT ON YOUR FACE, LET IT SIT THERE FOR LIKE 30 MINUTES. THEN WITH WARM WATER SCRUB IT WHILE RINSING IT OFF....USE A CLEAN DRY FACE TOWEL AND PAT DRY. DO IT EVERY NIGHT BEFORE BED....OH AND WASH YOUR BED SHEETS & PILLOW CASES OFTEN, CAUSE THEY HOLD UP ALOT OF DIRT & OIL.

I use neutrogena body scrub on my face and body. It works great.

Um. A quick fix - hand sanitizer. I heard this on Y! Answers, and I tried it. It really kicked-***. Seriously, try it. Just be careful coz if you use it too too much it'll dry out your skin.

Also, I believe things like eggs and junk food can increase breakouts but don't take my word for that one.

If you work out, make sure you shower after to get rid of excess oil. (Very important to avoid breakouts.)

I'm a chick and so bc pills have helped, although I've only ever had minor problems.

Um. I know too much testosterone can cause acne. Might wanna check with a doc/derm in that case.

Good luck!

raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar..5 bucks a bottle...
Angelina O, has found that applying ACV topically to her face several times a day (4 or more times) has cured her of a "very bad complexion". She reports that she applies it straight and that while it burns her skin a bit, it still works like a miracle!
Cheryl writes, "My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has
been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up."
you can get it at the health food store, or in some super marktet health food sections.
good luck

now this will sound weird but get a potato and slice it open and rub it on your face every night before you go to bed. in a few days to a week your face should get better. but it probably will get worse before it gets better so don't worry all your old acne has to come to a head to make it work. and if you have it bad in one spot make some of the potato into a pulp and put it where it needs it the most

i hope this helps!

Try this for acne:

Accutane-an antibiotic and Ziana- a new acne gel. See your dermotologist. Also wash face with cool or cold water, never hot. And never use scrubs or toners, they aggravate acne. Use a mild cleanser and mositurizer like Cetaphil.

you should go to a dermatologist.. they will look at your skin and tell you what you should do to make the acne go away and prevent future break outs.
i agree with the whole proactive thing not working. i have tons of friends that proactive didnt work for.. so dont worry.

I use clean and clear. It's like this white thick stuff and it tingles your skin and it's the freshness you can feel. You see a difference in your skin pretty quick too. I got my thing of it at Wal-Mart and it now comes in a hypoallergenic version.
