totally untrue, precipitation levels are already decreasing to a point of putting thousands of farmers out of work and causing massive drought, sea levels are rising, not falling, due to less snowfall in greenland and antarctica, causing massive current changes and thus affecting weather patterns further ( for example the escalation in hurricanes and tornadoes where none have been recorded before)- it is devastating to our planet, who fed you this line of bull?!

There are a number of problems with global warming.

Increased precipitation won't stop sea levels from rising much, since the water runs down to the sea. Coastal areas will flood which will be very costly.

Patterns of precipitation and temperature will change. That will disrupt agriculture. Irrigation systems and crops will have to be relocated. Once again, very costly.

And everything will not get uniformly warmer. Because of disruption of ocean currents, Europe might actually get very cold, which would really hurt their agriculture.

The bottom line is that the changes won't all be benign, and that our modern society is ill equipped to deal with major and rapid climate change.

its not beneficial since the climate has gone up so much the ice caps are melting causing the sea level to rise and flood lots of towns and destroy house's also the amount of participation is going up its going down which means farmers loose there jobs and we have less fruits and vegetable and we have less water to drink global warming is caused by fossil fuels (gasoline) which is destroying the ozone layer and the ozone layer is protecting us from the heat of the sun but with out it causes global warming the sun can get up to 10 million degrees!! that's why we need the ozone layer

The ice in Greenland and Antarctica will melt, sea level will increase and the seasons will be abnormal. So, unless you are a lobbyist for the fossil fuels, you got your facts wrong!

just a topic that the far left liberals have created to bash the political foes--right leaning republicans. if the ends of the earth were warmer think of all the extra land we would have to develop into commercial properties for the huge populations that we are needing to house right now.

20,000 scientists in the US disagree with the warming theory, thepetitionsite.com and we don't have records to know what will happen in the next hundred years anyway. last ice age chill was in the 1600's... most people don't know what to think of that. that's what stopped early explorers mostly. go figure. earth cycles. but who can say how much with certainly.

hurricane weather peeps cannot even predict hurricanes and model them that well, how can they know the WHOLE earth temp changes?????????????

Who told you it was beneficial? Hello.. the penguins and polar bears aren't going to have a home. By the time my kid's have children they will probably be extinct. You need to do some research on global warming before you put such a retard question on the internet! GEEEaaaaSSSE- it's no wonder we are in this predicament!

although global warming may do that, plants will wither and die. polar bear habitat is melting, and they are being considered to be added to the endangered species list. smog, which is mainly CO2 from cars and such, is bad for humans. look at a pic of, say, Los Angeles, or Beijing. see the layer of dirty clouds? it's not good for humans.

Yes indeed, growing seasons will become longer, low lying coastal cities will be flooded, millions of people will lose their jobs, homes, and possibly their lives, and to top it all off, one predicted effect of GW could be to throw us all into another ice age! Yes indeed, global warming will make life better for all of us.
