I think in front of others it can be kind of dangerous, unless your friends know and accept that you have a spanking relationship with your guy.
I have lost people I considered good friends after spanking one of my ex boyfriends in front of a group of friends. I feel sorry about this, I was drunk and overall it was a mistake although I did also convert one of the other friends present to introduce spanking into her relationship and in her words "change my life". Still on balance it was damaging.
I am not into spanking guys so they (or other watching guys) get off on it. I principally do it to punish them and maintain my status in the relationship. On balance I would therefore conduct this activity in private but I can see the humiliation benefit of doing it in a few other carefully selected female friends.

Its best to do it in private. Not all men would like to get spanked by their gurls in public. Even though its fun in private, it can be a bit humiliating in public.

It should always be between just the two of you. Any third parties are a distablelisation force to the marriage. Anything sexual is between the wife and husband only. Nobody should be watching a husband and wife's sexual playtime unless you want to kill your marriage.
