I have Pooh and Friends around my right ankle and a cross on my left.
I want to get Snoopy in memory of my best friend who passed away 14 years ago-- she loved Snoopy. After all these years, I FINALLY found the right pose.
It going to be about 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide, but I am at a loss as to where exactly I should place him. I was thinking on my back, on my shoulder, but I want to be able to see him too.
What's your opinion?
(I feel like I have too many tattoo wants and not enough skin!!)

I should add that I am 40 years old and work in elementary education. All my tatts are very small and tasteful and actually, the kids LOVE them.
My friend was more like my twin sister as we met as babies and grew up together, until she passed away when we were in our twenties.

This sounds like it'll be a really nice tattoo, and I love your reasoning for getting it done.
In terms of 'places you can see', what I'd point out is that there aren't really all that many parts of our own bodies that we see on a constant basis. OK, obviously, you can't see your own back without looking in the mirror, whereas you can see your front. But actually, many places on the front of your body aren't really all that visible either. From my own experience, the tattoos I have on my upper arms, although visible if I actually look down at them, don't really enter my field of vision all that much. The one on my forearm, on the other hand, is the one I see a lot - like right now, typing this!
So if what you want is somewhere you catch sight of it really regularly, then I'd say somewhere on your forearm. Just about anywhere else, you'll be making a conscious effort to look at it - in which context, your shoulder is as good as anywhere else.
Hope this helps!

If you 'loved' your friend, then I'd have Snoopy tattooed on your upper left arm ... that is 'closest to your heart' and have it done 'a little bit to the front' so you can see it. I've had malignant melanoma, and can't get any tattoos because of that, but I do like them and think that you wanting to get this one in 'honor' of your dead friend is really a LOVELY idea.

i know you want to see it, but unless you have something else planned, i think the upper shoulder (either side) is a good place, since you have both ankles done. small of the back is better for a horizontal tattoo (hate the words "tramp stamp"). good luck!

I agree with Mom but I think something you should bear in mind is that not all employers are in favor of tattoos. Don't know what your chosen career is but I think you should bear that in mind.

Don't get a tramp stamp on your lower back. That is the epitome of non-classiness. What about somewhere on your leg? Like above the knee?
