The laws still stand, and we are expected to keep them. Jesus did not do away with the laws, HE fulfilled them.
And what exactly is so fogey about the 10 commandments?

First, Jesus did not chuck out all the OT laws. He did however proclaim that "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" was above all the laws.
Saint Peter was responsible for the removal of the dietary laws.
A debate between the Apostles Peter and Paul is what resulted in most of the Old Testament Law being discarded. The debate was about circumcision, and the question of if Gentile converts to Christianity had to be circumcised.
The end of the debate, was that Christians should either be Jews who accept Jesus as the Messiah, and thus followed all the old laws, or Gentiles who followed the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule and "Love thy neighbor."
If you;re a Gentile Christian, then those are the laws to which you are subject. If, however, you start picking and choosing other Old Testament laws that you want to follow, then you're supposed to follow ALL the OT laws.
Of course, all of this is just from the Bible, so much of it isn't taught in most Churches. After all, why would a Church set the content of Holy Scripture ahead of the policies it wishes to pursue?

No,He didn't come to chuck out anything.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:37-40)

He did not expel the Old Testament. Some of the laws were revised but not thrown out. Sin is anything that is against the Will and Way of GOd. May God Bless U.

He didn't! He came down to fulfill the laws not destory them! If u get rid of the OT, ur getting rid of over 60% of the bible! When u don't follow god's law, thats a sin.

The sins are the same just the way we repent of them has changed. I am Truly Glad I don't have to kill a sheep for recognition of the need that only innocent blood would clean my slate. All I have to do now is partake of his ordnance's like baptism, and the sacrament along with true repentance to be clean.

Jesus didn't get rid of the OT or it's laws; he came to clarify them and to fulfill them. In fact, he boiled down the the Ten Commandments into two: To love your God with all your heart and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. If you compare the Ten Commandments to this, you will see that each of the Ten falls into one of these two areas.

Jesus said that he didn't come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. To fulfill the law, love God, love others as your self, even love your enemies.

A sin would be having a photo of Ted Haggard, while asking what you can't do, that you find enjoyment in doing...
