Canaanite mountain gods have no sense of proportionate justice. So everything from thinking about stealing a cookie to mass murder deserves the death penalty. But it hardly matters since you're already sentenced to death and hell because two kids took some of Yahweh's fruit without permission. Neat god, huh? Blood, blood, blood.

What you are referring to is Romans 8:23 "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord." The verse does not say that the wages of sin is proportional to a Roman execution. God gave Adam a promise that if he obeyed God, he would live. However, if he disobeyed Him, he would die. That's what Paul means by the "wages of sin is death." In a few verses before, Paul makes the point of because Adam sinned, we all (humans) follow suit. We are all deserving of death because we disobey God. The only to cover our sins was through the sacrifice of a perfect animal. That was only temporary what we really needed was the sacrifice of a perfect human. When Jesus died, he paid the wages of sin through His death on the cross. He was the only one who could ever do it because He was perfect. He freely gives the gift of eternal life with Him to those who confess that they have been disobedient to God ask for His forgiveness.

Now you wouldn't be playing with some peoples' heads again, would you?

Agony begets agony. Sin begets pleasure and pain. Thus wages are paid and infanticide accomplished. One nail for the Father. One nail for the Holy Ghost. One nail for destroying Judas.

Because those under the roman execution not only were executed but also cursed.
