Hey sweets!
There are some people that are allergic to alcohol( once they take that first drink- they want more and more and more and eventually it becomes impossible to stop-usually until you pass out)
You could very well be one of those people. But the ONLY person that can answer that question is YOU. You can go to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and listen to recovering alcoholics speak. If you feel like you can relate to thier alcoholic expriences-then you decide wether you are alcoholic.
I am 18 years old and I am so thankful for the many interventions that I've had. I would probably be drinking this minute had noone intervend. You don't have to wait for things to get so bad that people start intervening.

Just like you, I would black out most of the times I drank. Really bad **** happend to me, but I continued to drink regardless.
I started going out just on the weekends, then it was going out thursday, friday and saturday nights.
Eventually, it turned into drinking thursday nights through sunday nights.
For me, I became dependent on it relatively quickly.
I developed a tolerance for alcohol ( I needed a quart bottle of 99 Schnapps just to get the "high"...and I only weight 110lbs).

When i couldn't drink with others, I started to drink by myself.

I know there are many misconceptions on AA, but really AA is just a bunch of drunks learning to truly enjoy life without alcohol. We learn from each other by sharing our expierences. I love my drunks!

So are you alcoholic?
Well...you decide that...

if you think you aren't then go out there and drink until you find out..
Take care, Love!
And feel free to send me a message, I would be more than happy to hear from you, with any questions you may have!

Asking others if you are an alcoholic is tricky....no one but you can really say for sure. It is a matter of being completely honest with yourself, which can be extremely difficult.
It is pretty safe to assume you obviously cannot handle alcohol. If you continue to put yourself in dangerous situations (meaning blacking out every time you drink) because of alcohol you may want to seriously think about the possibility.

Stay safe.

How much do you drink is the big question. I think you're problem is you don't know when to stop drinking. I'm not sure what to call that, but if you do it one day when you're friends aren't around to take care of you......I don't even want to think about what could happen to you, what some creep could do to you. A young woman in NY was recently murdered because her friends left her at bar and she was too drunk to make good choices or defend herself. Please, stop!

Binge drinkers are alcoholics too. Go see your Dr. it's probably time for a physical any ways.

I would say yes.

I'm wondering exactly how much you're drinking when you go out? If it's enough to black out, it's too much.
