I want to get a friend for my Cockatiel who is very moody (had her for 1 week) and I was looking at a quaker Parrot. Would these two be able to live together in relative harmony in the same cage?

Absolutely not!

A quaker has a larger, stronger beak and can cause SERIOUS damage to a tiny cockatiel for nothing more than a grumpy mood.

Give your new cockatiel time to aclimate and get used to you. A week is NOTHING in comparison to how long they live! A now moody cockatiel in 6 months with attention and being your only bird will be very affectionate.

I have owned cockatiels for 19 years, (the age of my oldest bird,) and have done this several times. Birds don't get nicer or less moody with the addition of a new bird, this will only happen with attention from you.

see you later as they get alongside there is not any reason now to not homestead them at the same time. they could bond to at least one yet another, besides the undeniable fact that, and by no potential be as open to you. also, in the experience that they are male and woman, they could opt for to mate once they attain adulthood. i have had that take position.
