Depends on where they are based.

The ones in Air Commando Squadrons are more secreative than those based on purely Search and Rescue areas.

Alot of Air Force Bases around mountainous regions have para rescue based there


But like any small career field, people don't interact with them on a daily basis.

PJ is an acronyme for Para-Rescue in the U.S. Air Force.
These people go through a training that is similar to BUDS that I went through in the Navy. Very tough individuals
