Due to liver failure, I was faced with the choice of having my beautiful and amazing Russian Arabian mare Chestara put down in January. I've been having an extremely rough time coping. Sometimes I'll mention that somebody should come with me riding in the fields, or that we should go to Mohican trails or Hocking Hills. But then, I remember that I only have Bailey, my mare, to ride. My 22 month old Appendix gelding won't be ready for a while, and its so hard to think about certain things like that. For example, I have to find a horse to stay with my gelding while my mare is at the fair. I plan on talking to my late mare's previous owner, who leased then gave her to me, but I want to get in touch with Chester's last two fillies she had. Even if I couldn't purchase one of them, I would love to see how they are doing. One is registered as an arab-paint, and the other is an arab-saddlebred. Does anyone know how to find them in the Arab registry? Thanks so much and God Bless!

** My horse's registered name was Chestara, and I have her Arabian registry ID. I didn't 100% own her when she was bred the last two times, but I am pretty sure I can get info from her previous owner, Vickie. They were both foaled in Sycamore, Ohio, which is relatively close to Bucyrus. Right now I am working with the Arabian registry to get the info, now I am waiting on a second response. Thanks so much!

First try to contact the registry by Phone and see if they can help you. Have your mares registration number and full registered name, as well as all the information about her fillies. They should be able to do a registry search and tell you were they are. If the Arab reagistry doesn't pan out, next call the American Paint Horse Association, have the same information. They should be able to search using the Sire or Dams name. Same with the Saddlebred Registry.
American Paint Horse Association (817) 834-APHA
(2742) American Saddlebred Horse Association (859) 259-2742
I am sorry about your mare but I hope this helps.

Miss,
I read your question and was likewise like last your last respondant touched about your plight. I hope i can help you because my father's horses were at one point "lost". Now located, and achieving at the track. You stated that the dam/mare was a Russian Arabian, i have a friend who has been invollved with importing Russian Arabs since the 1970's, even if your horse was not documented at that time (alot of them were not) ican search registeries for you. Again, if she has papers that would be invaluable. ie..., Registered name would be a starting point. You said she was bred to a paint and a saddlebred, to find her fillies i would need the dates of her foaling, because the arab/saddlebred has become The National Show Horse, since established /recognized mid 1980's , late 80's. I have a good friend that is invoved in her her breed, I'm more jumper oriented (Trakenier). To address the Paint/Arabian breeding, i do not know about it, but i have contacts throughout the breed industry, but at the very least i can direct to better source's of information. I do understand your longing to see your mare's daughters'. My own father would not rest until his horses' were found, And they were. And they were winning at race tracks!!! One last suggestion, contact local breed registry, and follow through with whom you sould the foals to. Also, as this long response, check the "Half_Paint" registery, but the horse industry has changed. I'm almost 40 and I have problems locating where ny old show horses' are. I will do my best, also what state where the foals sold?? have contacts all over the South.
May Your Efforts be Delivered,
God Bless,
Sincerely,
Dawn Ramagli

if i have anything of significance, i will arrange a private contact, with your agreement. I do Know Horses, they are vert Important.
