Who knows?

Maybe he would have superfast Cro Cop type kicks and such......ouch...actually he would be a scary man in the octagon. Very VERY scary.

Wow you got a lot of dumb answers for this question. Bruce Lee had plenty of ground fighting tactics. I think I even read that someone thought Bruce Lee wouldn't be interested in that cage garbage........They obviously don't know a thing about Bruce Lee. He was constantly contradicting the so called "true meaning of martial arts"

Bruce Lee was a good grappeler and studied Mui Thai, Also he did not have a style.

JKD is a theory if you will, Basically that there is no " way "
Use what is useful and reject what is useless.

Also, Bruce Lee was a Street Fighter and while the Octagon shows some aspects of what works in a fight it is not the same as a street fight and grappling will only work in a street fight if you go for position, not submission.

A street fight will last a few seconds, either you drop him, he drops you or its broken up.

Bruce Lee did have ground fightin' tactics, and even used some in his movies (watch the first 5 minutes of Enter The Dragon if you dont believe me). Although I haven't read it, I've heard that he also included pictures and theories of grapplin' in The Tao of Jeet Kune Do. In essence, what I'm sayin' is that, although not credited for it, Bruce Lee believed in MMA and cross-trainin' before most anyone else in America. Bruce didn't believe in kickin' above the waist until he talked with Chuck Norris in a hotel hallway one night. I'm not sure where Bruce got his grapplin' techniques, but he had ground fightin' in his game before he died. However, at that time, nobody really wanted to studyin' grapplin', so it didn't make as much of an appearance in movies and TV shows.

Bruce Lee invented and marketed mixed martial arts, and always included ground fighting tactics in his training.

Bruce Lee already knew ground fighting tactics. He included many martial art styles into his Jeet Kune Do system. And if you know your facts, Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto basically created the mixed martial arts. He didn't actuallt "create" it, but you know what i mean.

He did, Jun Fan or something like that. Bruce Lee advocated learning all aspects of combat, I'm sure he wouldn't go as deep into ground fighting (like in MMA) because he was developing his style without consideration for the opponent (think groin, eye, throat strikes)

I doubt it. All that "cage match" stuff is junk. They might be good fighters and athletes, but they miss the entire spirit of martial arts. They don't get what it's about. Somehow, I don't think Bruce Lee would be too concerned.

Bruce Lee actually knew ground fighting techniques.A lot of people don't realize that Wing Chun has ground fighting and weapons techniques. But that's a secret.. . You have to earn it.
