Which UFC Fighter could take Mirko.?

I've been having a time with this question. Which star available for fights in UFC could be a fighter capable of bringing it hard to Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

lets get this strait randy couture wont be able to bob and weave against mirko because of his dangerous kicks if he does he will get ko'ed, and mirko has the best takedown defense in mma so its not gonna be easy to take him down! randy may have only been 225lbs against sylvia who was probaly 280 when he got in the ring but hes fighting a diferent style of fighter to cro cop! while cro cop has already beaten both hammerhouse stars who fight similarly to randy!
if anyone is to beat cro cop its arlovski because of his style but thats unlikely cro cop is still higher rated than everybody else in the ufc. big tim may also be capable of beating him due to sheer size but its just a possibility not a probability and cro cop weighs 215 and often has weighed only 205 but he has 11 times fought someone who weighed more than 30 lbs heavier and won. when he fought waterman he weighed 75lbs heavier than cro cop so size might not play a vital role

The "Iceman" and "The Natural" both could beat Mirko in either weight class. The Cro-Cop's stand up is great, his power is awesome, but he has fallen before to strikes. Chuck is too unauthodox Mirko would have a very hard time, Chuck is almost more dangerous when he is on the retreat, and Mirko would push the fight. Randy can take a hit, he's proven that, but he would tie Mirko up and then work either the clinch or just ground and pound. There are a couple of others that I think would have a good chance (even though the weight class is way off. GSP good strike with Mirko, so could the Spider Silva. The Pitbull wouldbe too gun shy, and Tim Sylvia is too long and would eat the kicks low till he couldn't walk. I would love to see Tito and Mirko go at it, I think Mirko would win, but Tito would give him a fight. (I would just like to see Tito get beat again. He has skills and is now showing maturity, but he still needs to learn that the best way to win is by keeping your mouth quiet and your actions loud. Look at Randy, GSP, Silva, and Chuck, their great fighters, even better champs, cuz everyone likes them!

Only Cro Cop is in the UFC. Couture is going to get bloodied. Mirko is on another level than Sylvia

Liddell would get knocked out against cro cop easily.
Liddell is terrble at covering and fights with his hands down consistantly.

I don't how people can say Couture when Couture can't beat Liddell. I like him to, but lets not be ridiculous about anything, Couture was able to beat Sylvia because it is just a bad match up for Sylvia. Couture;s a ground and pound guy and easily got the long legs of Sylvia off the ground. Couture won't be able to throw Cro Cop around like that and would eventually gets blasted. I don't see anyone that could beat Cro Copp besides AA, Vera, and Liddell and Cro Cop would have to be an odds on favorite to beat all of those guys.

No one really and that is why he will become the heavyweight champion in a few months...he just needs to get Gonzaga out of the way...probably by secound round KO! Randy Couture may give him a good fight...maybe even a win since he's such a great wrestler, and that's really the only way to beat him...with good groud and pound, although it's way difficult to get him on the ground (just like any other great striker) since he's great at avoiding the takedown, but I'd put my money on Cro Cop! Wait til Fedor is wearing UFC gloves...that'll be the rematch many of us have been waiting for! the 2 greatest heavyweight in a UFC title match

Randy n Arlovski could ground and pound/submission Cro Cop, but if they didnt clinch or grapple theyd be gettin KOed for real k1 style/ Sylvia would think he can trade with Cro Cop and get knocked out in the first round

if UFC heavyweights dont respect Cro Cop's kick boxing then they will be in the intro for UFC Unleashed gettin dummied. Have seen Mirko's first two fights in MMA an he lost both to submission, so its not as if hes some Iceman type epicness

Weight classes aside: Anderson Sylva, Iceman, Georges St. Pierre would man handle Cro Cop due to their Champion style

Anyone who say Chuck will give Mirko a hard time is incredible stupid and clueless.

Mirko is like Chuck but bigger, young, and more skilled and experienced.

Keep in mind Mirko use to be a pro boxer so he can out box Chuck easily. Mirko also use to fight in K-1 with all of the top kick boxers in the world and almost won the grand prix few time. So he definitely have more skill in kick boxing. So Chuck doesn't stand much of a chance at all.

Andrei Arlovski has a chance, Frank Mir if gets back in shape (like he was before the motorcycle accident), he broke Tim Sylvia's arm, beat Wes Simms and Tank Abbot.

Don't forget that in the world of MMA any fighter has a chance (even a slim one), all it takes is a good punch, or a good kick, or a slip then a submission.....

I don't think anyone in the UFC could match his size and power but i don't think he would have a chance against someone like Couture.

I honestly think after seeing how Couture fought against Sylvia with the defensive strategy, that he could take it to Cro Cop. Even given the size differential. We all seen how Coutoure was able to throw Sylvia around with ease which even shocked me. I was putting my money on Coutoure from the start but he did surprise me how he was able to treat Sylvia as if he was only 200 lbs.

The heavyweight division is in need of talent. Arlovski I think would be a runner up to giving Cro Cop a challenge, although it would have to be a punchers chance for Arlovski. but i think if I had to pick one guy who could beat him it would be Coutoure.

I'd like to see a Tim Sylvia bout and a Randy Couture bout

Tim is a massive man with good takedown defense and KO power in both hands, for a CroCop fight I think he should work leg kicks, southpaw sparring and takedown defense.

Randy, he is randy. His clinch is like a LIFE DRAIN. He's used the clinch to frustrate some VERY powerful strikers in his day. I think Randy should work on kicks, and heel picks for this fight.

Someone mentioned Arlovski, he's also a good candidate, good chin, good hands, decent submissions. I think if Arlovski worked takedowns and kicks he could win that fight too.

I'm not discounting Mirko, but I can see someone having a good night at his expense.
