First, the SPCA is not going to take your dog because it accidentally got into chocolate. A lot of dogs in a lot of homes get into stuff. It's not a big deal unless it's causing a health problem and you're not getting treatment for your dog.

Second, how would this woman find you, anyway?

You know all these vigilantes trying to control everyone are so ridiculous. They steal dogs out of cars, Peta people went to a dog show today and tried to let a Shepard out and was arrested. These people are nuts. What is really bad is that many SPCAs have lots of them also. So even though I don't think they could do anything if they did. I want you to post it to NAIA and to Pet_law and to the dog press. I will put the links in. This world and the dog hysteria has gotten out of hand. If we let these lunatics have their way they will make petting a dog cruelty and illegal and no one will want one anymore.

Ask yourself if she knows your phone number or address? If she does I might be worried. If not dont worry about her or other freaks. Sometimes, dogs get into things and no matter how much we love them or watch over them, we cant be there every second of the day. Its not your fault just try to remember next time to put the chocolate up where your dog cant get it.

How large is your dog and how much chocolate did the dog eat and was it like milk chocolate
If it was milk chocolate and the dog is like 50 pounds or more and it only ate one bite the dog will be fine.
If this was bakers or dark chocolate and the dog ate a lot and is small you may want to induce vomiting if it just happened.
You can give your dog a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting and it will throw up the chocolate.
But only if it just ate it.

Kylie, time to give the dog and chocolate story a rest. You have posted three questions regarding this matter. In addition, no one has threatened to call the SPCA on you. Even if someone did, no one knows who you are or where you live. So, if your going to make up stories at least do so where they can't be verified.

Dont worry about the woman she is probaly one of them PETA Idiots, no one is gonna take your dog away from you BELIEVE ME ASPCA has enough of REAL animal abuse to keep them busy, people like that lady waste a lot of important time that the SPCA have they got enough to do rather than dealing with such a IDIOTIC complaint I work as a animal control officer and we have to respond to all complaints that we receive, but that does not mean Every complaint is legatimate, so dont worry you will be fine more than likely they would be more apt to offer advise rather than Critisize you for the mistake REST EASY!!!!!

she doesn't know where u live therefore she cannot give a location or a phone no. to them. I wouldn't worry about it. If shes gonna call on you then she should call on me too becuz i've given my dogs m&ms before but just like one and occasionally my cat will get up on shelves and knock chocolate down and they'll get it. Just don't worry

No worries. She must be a crazy old cat lady. I have two SPOILED dogs and no matter how well you take care of them they will always find something to get into. They are like children.
