Lifting weights will help burn fat by the act of lifting weights itself and by the benefit of building muscle (which utilizes fat... burning the stores your body is holding). However, the fastest, most efficient way of getting rid of fat is 3-fold... that's doing cardio exercise daily plus eating a healthy diet that's low in fat and supplementing those with weight-lifting 3 times a week. Give your body a day to rest between weight lifting sessions. You can do cardio every day! If you use a program that incorporates those three lifestyle elements, I guarantee you will lose fat and feel much healthier!

First things first. Lift weights every other day. To build muscle you need both exercise and rest. If you build muscle, you may put on weight. The best way to lose fat is to eat less. Exercise is helpful, but diet is even more important. Lifting weights means working muscles to exhaustion. I do about 12 exercises and try for 12 to 15 repetitions. When I get to where I can do 15, I add a little more weight next time. I've seen people lifting little weights in front of the TV and calling it weight lifting. About one person in ten gets almost no results from weight lifting. It's hereditary and you can't change your ancestors. Eat regular food and take regular vitamins. Don't waste your money on powdered protein stuff.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!
