ow long will cream cheese last after its has been opened, i have the tub kind not the brick kind, and i opened, i don't remember when....but its sell by date is june 9th, there is no moisture or mold or anything it looks okay, and smells okay but it still might not be okay, so help please! Also please don't answer if your not sure because i dont' want food poisoning! And yes I answered this qustion, but people seem to think the sell by day is in 2006, so yeah, its actually june 9th 2007, hence my worry.

Umm, I am ashamed to admit that I have cream cheese in the fridge that I don't know how long has been there. It doesn't ever seem to go bad. Some people say that you shouldn't eat something that doesn't rot....but cream cheese is just too good!

You will know when cream cheese goes bad.
It'll grow mold or start to taste sour or get real slimy greyish kuck on it.

because it's dairy you should throw it out after 2mos. just a general rule.
