Cave paintings have been made since the Upper Paleolithic, 40,000 years ago. The oldest cave is that of Chauvet, and is 32,000 years old. How come in the Bible, man is not depicted as using stone axes and stone tools, with flint arrow heads etc?

Also, how can one explain the fact that since after the "flood", the population had to start over, which, one would presume, was some time after adam and eve, the variations in race in humans? Why are there people of all different colours and racial bone formations, especially of the skull?

Speaking of "the flood", Was Noah commanded to take one pair of each clean animal into the Ark (Gen 6:19–20) or seven pairs (Gen 7:2–3)? Did the flood last forty days (Gen. 7:17) or a hundred and fifty days (Gen 7:24)?

Also, would all the animals, including the extinct ones, have fit in the ark? And if all the land on earth was covered, where did that enormous volume of water go? seriously! It had to go somewhere! Where is it!?

Yea when it rains the water gets evaporated and turns into a cloud. I'm well aware of that. It's just that in order for every inch of land on earth to be flooded, which would include, presumably, the summit of mount everest, which is seven miles high, that would take a hell of a lot of water. Now for all that to evaporate into a cloud.... That cloud would take up all of the earth's atmosphere.

And concerning the rain in the first place, WHERE DID IT COME FROM?!!?!? The water cycle — technically known as the hydrologic cycle or hydrological cycle — is the continuous circulation of water within the Earth's hydrosphere, and is driven by solar radiation. This includes the atmosphere, land, surface water and groundwater. As water moves through the cycle, it changes state between liquid, solid, and gas phases. Water moves from compartment to compartment, such as from river to ocean, by the physical processes of evaporation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and subsurface flow.

To cover Everest with water, we would need sea levels to rise 29,028 feet.

For every thousand feet of water, the pressure increases by 30 atmospheres.

In the instant that all the water for God's flood magically appeared in the sky above us, the air pressure felt at sea level would jump from 1 atmosphere to just over 871 atmospheres.

There are only seven sea trenches in the world that extend more than 29,000 feet below sea level. There are very few creatures that can survive that much pressure, and instantly adding that much more would kill even those.

Therefore, it is impossible for anyone to have drowned in the Biblical flood. Every living creature on the planet would already have been crushed.

Gen 6:19-20 refers to every creature that is not a beast and in Gen 7:2-3 specifies beasts; be aware that this text does not say 7 pairs, but, seven animals of clean beasts and 2 animals of beasts that are not clean.
On the other hand, the flod, it lasted 40 days raining, but it covered the earth for 150 days, you also asked if all the animals could fit in the ark, remmember that Jehovah God gave Noah the measurement for the ark, so thats why all the animals could fit in it.
How about the water?, well in Gen 2:5-6 says that it had never rained over the earth so, where do you think the oceans came from? the water didn't go anywhere it just went to where it has to be.

Have you ever thought that God created the world with age in it? I mean, why couldn't He have? If He couldn't have, then that would make Him not God, but, my next answer is, there are so many holes in the theories that the earth is that old. We cannot prove the age of anything, if anything we can prove that it is NOT as old as many think it is. The next answer is the Tower of Babel. When God mixed the people, the people had to sort themselves out somehow. Skin tone, shape of the face and eyes, etc...will certaintly help distinguish, and just because the Bible never said that He changed skin tones and such doesn't mean that He didn't. In fact, the Bible says He confused the languages of the world. he confused the LANGUAGES, not the races, maybe that is a way they seperated themselves. I don't know, I believe. Noah was commanded to take one pair of every clean animal and seven pairs of every unclean animal. The raining lasted forty days, but the flood lasted 150 days. And last but not least, the Bible says that God brought animals to the ark, what if God brought baby animals? They would take up less space, and they would eat less. As for the water, are you seriously asking that question? It has been about 8,000 years since the flood, I guarantee that that much water would dry. And there is absolutely NO reason God couldn't have taken it away. If He couldn't have, then He isn't God, which, since He could have, He is God. I stand on the Word of God. The rains are beating me, yet I stand firm because God's Word is a rock and I am standing with my feet firm on the rock. Anymore questions?

Here's some more for ya:

It's been measured... there simply isn't enough water in the lakes and oceans, the glaciers, or the underground water to cover the entire globe.

Studies also show that if the planet were covered with water, and it was raining for a month straight... then the atmosphere wouldn't be breathable.

And that's ignoring the fact that plants provide our oxygen... but they can't really do that if they're all under water.

I can explain the second paragraph. Genetic variance can happen in any race. There are those born slightly darker, and slightly lighter, drastically lighter, etc...of any race. What colour were Adam and Eve? it wouldn't really matter. Noah's sons names refer to differnet colours (Ham=dark, Shem=midway,Japheth=light).

So if Ham was say, the colour of a light Australian aboriginal, and most of his children were predominantly dark, then the stronger dark hgenes go on, and on and on, and hence you have Africans, Aboriginees, and possibly some tribes of North America (sorry for the word, "redskins").

So if Shem was miday, and His children were midway, then that explains Jews and Arabs. If one of their children is genetically variant and passes it along, and a NEW strong gene is passed along, you get another race. So Shem we know is the ancestor of Jews and Arabs, and possibly even some other meditteranian peoples.

So if Japheth is the lightest and his children are predominantly light, then those traits are passed along, hence cocasian and possibly italian peoples.

other races such as Aboriginals (sorry for the word "Indian") may have come as a result of genetic variance in the descendants. So if perchance one of Shem's great grandchildren and one of Japheth's great grandchildren married, then you may get an Asian (sorry if that offended, the accounts are local). If one of Ham's great grandchildren and one of Shem's great grandchildren married, you might get an Aboriginal or East-Indian (again, sorry if I offend). You get the picture...

and as for the ark, it was 3 1/2 football fields long, 2 football fields wide and had 3 decks. I think it was pretty big...

With respect to the flood, it rained for 40 days, which caused a 150-day flood. The two passages make that pretty clear. It's just like now when it rains heavily, the water level takes time to return to normal. But, they do return to normal. I wonder if you have the same question about where the water goes after it rains heavily nowadays. I hope you can now put this concern to rest.

The Bible was written by man as a way to explain how and why we are here. The reason there are so many flaws is because the Bible is not factual.

You are asking for rational explanations from theists? They always have the same fallback position: a miracle happened!
