In real life, religious conflicts start when people confuse beliefs with knowledge.

People need to accept that their spiritual beliefs are NOT facts. They are NOT pieces of knowledge. As soon as you allow the possibility that you may be wrong, conflict collapses.

Accepting that no one really "knows" (for example) whether God exists lets you relax and say to others, "Yup. You could be right and I could be wrong. How about a beer?" (As opposed to, "I'm right, you're wrong, now you die.")
