Alfred Angelo is a designer that does colored wedding dresses....sweetest day is in October, that's a holiday of love......amethyst is the Feb. birth stone......The dark wedding dress would be beautiful for a nighttime wedding!

Good luck with that- i think someone has been married on every day of every week at some point in history.

I would say if you want to be different, try having it somewhere where not too many people do it, such as a zoo, library, school, boxing ring or whatever. Not sure if you all like to canoe- but maybe you can get a bunch of canoes and have it in the middle of a lake somewhere.

How about a firehouse or a bridge somewhere?

As far as the dress- make one that really flatters your figure and adorn it with gems or silver linings. Have all of your bridesmaids walk you down the aisle.

October 21st is considered to be Sweethearts day!!

Have fun with it!!

Do most of the things yourself. If you do your own invitations, then you can get a stamp of a butterfly and do it that way or you can lighten a picture of a butterfly and use it as a background when you print off your invitations. Also, you can incorporate them in the cake, the ring bearer pillow, the flowergirl basket, the centerpieces, the unity candle, etc. I suggest just buying cute little butterfly things for the pillow, basket, and centerpieces and doing it yourself. It will save you quite a bit of money and you can make it look exactly how you want. I saw a setup done by a charity where I am having my wedding held. They did a cute centerpiece that was painted twig looking things sticking out of some nice vases with little butterflies attached throughout. It looked great in the room.

Also if your going for purple you could get married around Easter and have an Easter theme and I've never heared of anyone getting married on Easter before.

Have a close guy friend or an uncle or your grandfather walk you down the asile.

considering there are millions of people in the world spanning hundreds of years and only 365 days in a year i doubt you will find a day when no one else has gotten married.

you may have a better chance of doing your wedding in such a way that no one else has. you can go get a book of traditional wedding practices and then make sure you dont do anything that is in the book.

we are planning our wedding for feb. 29th. i wouldn't think this is a popular wedding date because most people would not like the idea of only having an anniversary every 4 years, but you can always celebrate on the 28th or the 1st. also, this would go with your choice of color for your dress.

Most wedding dress shops have choices of color. If you can't find the exact shade you can have it made! i might go that route becaue i want a red dress!!

As for your date, you should go by a significant time in your life so it will be special. maybe on a birthday of your father so you can have a rememberance of him as well.

I think it is great to have something different and personalized to your personalities, but it isn't possible to get married on a day where no one has ever gotten married... ...There are billions of people that get married every day.

Focus on making that particlar day "your own"...Best of luck.

i love your ideas and different is soo refreshing! i was searching online and I found a few wedding web sites that looked like it would be help you presonalize your wedding..
http://weddinghelpers.cceasy.com - all wedding accessories
http://www.theclergynetwork.com/ - this one can help you with your ceremony maybe personal vows to make it even more unique
http://www.thenamechangekit.com/ - this site i had to include, it helps you change your name in all one swoop.. (changing your name stinks so this looks like a must)

hope this helps! best of luck with your wedding

Oh, aren't you just so special?

A purple wedding dress sounds hideous. Why don't you have a low key normal wedding (one your mom won't cringe at) and blow your wad for a cool honeymoon or cool party/reception? Save the wierdness for something other than the ceremony.
