i have been friends with the guy for 6 or 7 yrs and i like him but i want to go as friends cause if i ask him out im scared that he'll say no so how do i ask him as friends, like what do i say lol?

Sounds like you have a crush on the guy. Best you ask him straight. You dont know if he is feeling the same way. No point in dragging it longer. Once you have this issue resolved, you can be better friends, or if youre lucky, could be more.
