I would pick the tuna w/mayo out of the two. The tuna is high in protein and omega 3's. The egg mayo has more fat from the yolk.

Make sure you're using low fat mayo by the way.

You can modify these to be more healthy. The mayo is the big calorie beast here, so if you can switch to a low-fat or fat free mayo, that would be a big help. Tuna is probably more healthy, but too much tuna is not good because of chemicals found in tuna. Alternating between the two is fine.

Another modification idea is to use the egg white instead of the white plus yolk. All of the fat is found in the yolk.

Without bread is OK, but using a whole-grain, stone ground wheat bread ... look for a low fat, high fiber brand... can add some good nutrition and can actually help you lose weight because you are balancing your proteins with quality carbs and giving your body fiber it needs. You should be getting around 35 grams of fiber per day!

I first want to start off by saying that calories are not the dreaded enemy for Diets, its Saturated Fat, Trans Fats, and sugars. Calories is what your body uses to move and operate, calories can be found in everything like in Fats. Fats have 9 calories per gram, Carbohydrates have 4 calories per gram, and Proteins have 4 calories per gram. As you can see fats contain a lot of calories per gram than Carbs and Protein.

The mayo is killing you. Mayo is very high in fat, and stacked up to other condiments, has a lot of calories, I think it was 45 for a serving.

Tuna sandwiches are very healthy for you, and probably have about 300 Calories. Tuna has very little fat, and is high in protein, which the body uses to build muscle.

Eggs are good for you as well, but only if you dont eat the yok. Yoks contain a high amount of Cholesteral. Also it depends on how you get your egg sandwich done. Fried eggs would have a high amount of Trans fats in it, which is a fat that is man made and not reconizable for the body to break down. It usually gets stored.

I dont know the exact answer to this question, but my bet is that the Tuna has less calories.

Hope I was a help to you. Good Luck

Anything with the word "mayo" in it, cancels out any health benefit the sandwich may have brought. Here's a twist on your sandwich selections which contain fewer calories and taste great:

Weight Watchers Bread (all types contain 100 calories/2 slices)
Individual size cans of tuna in WATER (70 calories/can)
Relish (Surprisingly tuna and relish taste very good together)

That said, 2 slices weight watchers bread (100 calories), one individualized can tuna (70 calories) and relish (15 calories/tablespoon) is approximately 200 calories! That's excellent!

As for the egg salad--make it at home using egg whites and low fat mayo on the weight watchers bread. All together it will probably come out to 300 calories!!

the egg with mayo has less,

Depending on how much is on there of course, tuna is about 200 calories, id day an egg has 90. if two eggs then there the same pretty much,

your good to go either way they both have lots of protein and are very good for you.

GO with what your feeling that day. (also cut out mayo its not good for you... ) your choice tho,.

Ham does have less fat and fewer calories than roast beef. Also there are 2 slices of cheese on the first, and i'm assuming one slice of cheese on the second. The less cheese the better. Also, would there be any mayo or other condiments on the first sandwich? As that would add to calories and fat. I would say have the ham sandwich with one slice of cheese and no honey mustard unless they have low fat.

Which sandwich has FEWER calories?

(egg, but it's really close)

Yes it's ok to skip the bread, but then it's not a sandwich. You and your heart would be best to skip the mayo.

They are both bad!!! When dieting, you must avoid MAYO and RANCH DRESSING. Maybe you can replace regular mayo with light mayo. What you should eat is turkey sandwich w/ mustard.
