if it has been 12 hours and no kitten I would at the very least contact and emergency vet hospital. look them up in your local phone book or online. You could also search your local humane society web site, or ASPCA site. If she gets to tired, she can become dehydrated and then neglect the kittens.

It could actually be quite some time. Just make sure you check on her periodically. If she seems to be struggling really badly take her to the vet.

Also, if you have lost sight of her she may have already had some and is hiding them. If she seems to be wondering off, follow her, you may find some kittens under a bed, or in a cabinet!

She may have not found a comfortable quiet private place to have these kittens go into your bathroom get bathtowels and open a dresser drawer pull out your clothes put in the towels give her her privacy

if she has contraction for more then 30 min call the vet. if she has been restless all day call the vet, most cats give birth at night, do you know how many days she has been pregnant? more than 65 then call the vet for advice.
