I got asked to a sweet sixteen dance by my friend (haven't known her for more than a month or so) and I need to find out what color her dress is aparently so that I can pick an appropriately colored corsage. How would I go about asking this without sounding stupid?
Is white acceptable for all color dresses?

yes,white is acceptable but you have options...one you can be sneaky and talk to her casually about her dress..like did you get your dress yet ? I heard mary is wearing a really bright red..wait for response...something like that .......... but you can also call her house with a phoney voice and ask to speak to mrs. so and so (her mom) who could tell you ..or go to her mom's when you know she is not home to ask her ...become inventive....

White goes with anything. If you get her a white corsage, then it will match the dress no matter what color the dress is.

White will match anything!! But just ask her. If she really likes you or respects who you are then she will be kool with you asking her what she is going to be wearing. Mabe you could even ask her if you could come buy and take a look at it. If she wants it to be a surprise stick with the white Corsage. Have FUN!!!!

It is not stupid at all. It is considerate of you. If u are going to pick her up, ask her by what time. Then pop up the question what color dress she be wearing. White is very/TOO common.

Call her up and ask her what color dress she is wearing.
Chat on the phone with her about anything you want to----women like this. They enjoy talking. If you don't call or talk to her, she will assume you don't like her.

just do the normal chit-chat about the upcoming dance and in general conversation ask if she got her dress yet? and when she replies ask what color? and throw her a compliment and say "wow,that'd be a great color for you..you'll look awesome I can't wait to see you in it"!
