I'm going to the UK in July and wanted to know if there are any good hotels I should look at. I need a room with some space, and something fairly reasonable. It would be on a weekday, with 3 people in one room. Thanks!

Look on the tripadvisor web site before you book anywhere as you wil get an honest answer from people who have stayed there.

London is very expensive so pay what you can to get anywhere half descent. We stay at The Thistle at Charring Cross station every time - about £90 a night if you book through Expedia. Great central location, quiet, well equipt rooms, nice staff and lovely old building.
There is a chain called Ibis who do reasonable priced, modern rooms. There is one near Kings and Euston Cross station.

In Edinburgh the following are all good:
The Chester Residence
The Hudson Hotel
The Holiday Inn Express (very central)
Or good, central guest houses:
Southside
Castle View
Amar Agua

I'm not sure what you mean by "some space" , so i assumed that you wanted a room with an extra bed and not to be too cramped.

Firstly, there's a great directory called Cheaper than hotels - UK where you can find last minute and year round accommodation across a range of hotel types ( including serviced apartment in some areas ). You can sort the screens using a filter by price, location , and star rating.

Once you have found something that you think you like, dig deeper and you will reveal offers with some offering extra beds ( and other freebies ).

Have a look and see how you go

Good luck with your planning.

Hello, the booking.com works great for me (personal opinion).
You can find good offers, reviews and ratings from guests (a great tool to decide based on other people bad or good staying experience).
I'm using it when I want to travel abroad and I didn't have any problems. The hotels and the rooms were exactly as I red and saw on site.
The maps also gives you an idea where the hotels reside.
The reservation process is easy and you don't need to pay with credit card.
