My mom swears she has never heard this before, nor witnessed it, but have you ever EVER made a TIGHT FIST as SOON as you woke up in the morning, and it hurt? to the point where you just CAN'T DO IT?!?! and WHY?!

My muscles and joints allover hurt in the am only. And I am only in early 20s. I am going to try getting more sleep. And maybe more omegas. Yoga has been helping me, but I don't know about for a fist.

LOLL I think it's just because your muscles or joints were resting for a long time while you were sleeping so when you wake up they're stiff-like. Don't worry, it's nothing serious but I think is pretty normal. I know alot of people including me who can't make a fist or even twist the cap of toothpaste open in the morning!

That's probably morning stiffness, one of the criteria t o determine whether one has arthritis or not, specially rheumatoid arthritis. I suggest you see a doctor.There might be other signs and symptoms along with the stiffness.

do you lay with your hands under your head... I know I do and its almost like they fall asleep...when I wake up I can`t make a fist either due to the lack of blood flow from my head resting on them and messing with the circulation...hope that helps ya some

I know what you mean. I always thought that it was just the fact that I was sleep and my muscles have been in a rest position for so long and then I just shocked them by using them.

maybe you fell asleep on your hand or maybe arthritis
