I don't have that kind of OCD, but, I have some personal experience with the disorder. I think what you're referring to is called (in the psychology/psychiatric community) rumination. It may also be considered catastrophizing. Now, these are just big, clinical words for what you're referring to/asking about.
I think a better way to think about this might be that OCD is characterized by doubt and uncertainty. In fact, early on in the recognition of the disorder and its characteristics, it was sometimes referred to as the "Doubting Disease". In my thinking, It's like a switch in the brain has gone bad. The switch that controls the final connection of the thought process coming full circle, to the point of being certain about our interpretation of events, conversations, and the physical world around us as we live and interact in it.
I'd really like to help you by offering a link to a WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION that is well known in the OCD community for its vast compilation of resources. It will be entered at the end of my answer as my source, for the sake of ease in being able to use the hyperlink.
I'd also like to let you know, that I believe there is MOST DEFINITELY HELP AND HOPE FOR YOU. You can be treated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and/or Medications that are very effective in treating OCD.
Please give yourself the biggest break you can, by contacting the OC Foundation!!!

I dealt with this every day with someone in my family......but they have been on Prozac for nearly 2 years now and it is finally under control. They will tell you that they would not go back to living the way they were before the Prozac for anything. I tend to agree.
Speak with your physician about this and maybe you can find some relief from the OCD.
Good luck!

As a mental health clinician with 20+ years experience, now retired, I think the "symptoms" you're describing sound more like paranoia than OCD. Maybe paranoia, or paranoid personality disorder, but paranoia of one degree or another, and I'm not lying to you. But then, with your "condition", you may not believe me anyway. God Bless you.

My son does and he hoards stuff, to the point that he steals it from friends if it is something that he wants to hoard.
He collects pencils, CD's and some other things, not to listen to them or use them just to have them in piles and look at them over and over. He also makes lists, endlessly of bands, movies etc. over and over and over.
