For the past couple of days this guy "Stephen" in my band class and I have been making eye contact with one another. I turn around and for some reason our eyes would lock. Yesterday we came back from a field trip and he just randomly started talking to me when we were waiting to be let inside. I didn't even look at him then. It was totally spontaneous. Does he like me? He just started talking about what this guy "Ryan" said to him about a totally random, stupid topic!!!! I don't like this guy "Ryan" by the way. Does "Stephen" like me??? I think I like him, he is nice, but I sort of like this completely different guy too. I am torn.

If Stephen just has to talk about a random subject to u, he is liking u. he just plucked up the courage to talk to u. yes, he does like u. if u dont like stephen, just dont say anything. just act uninterested and he will get that u arent into him. if u do like him back, just start talking about ANOTHER subject thats NOT random. then, u'll grow to like each other and hopefully grow into a relationship.

he probabaly not only likes you, but he is testing you by trying to see what your opinion is on the "random" subject he was talking about . He may have wanted to see your response to it. Theses are the kind of people who do not come up front with you, you have to be able to read between the lines which can drive a person crazy trying to figure out what they want or what they are trying to get out of you. I am experiencing the same thing. They will get to know you by your responses to their topics because they don't feel comfortable asking you questions up front. They think if they do it this way, they will get a more more honest answer than they would if you had an opportunity to answer a direct question....good luck

It sounds like Stephen has the hots for you. If you like him, focus on him. I'd just tell him how I felt if I were you. Your honesty will really surprise him (in a good way).

Do not be torn just talk to him and get to know him.so do not stress yourself he is just a guy and you all are still young so take your time he will probably come with another topic next time.

just say "hi" to a guy you'd like to get to know. Get to know him...as him a question about himself. See if he wants to be a friend. Don't worry so much about guys "liking" you or not. Guys want to be friends too...they would feel more comfortable getting to know you if you were not so conscientious about yourself. You'll find yourself more comfortable around guys if you don't present yourself as wanting to be a girlfriend...just be a good friend.
