You may feel no fitter, but isn't it logical to say that you could have been more unfit if you'd continued? Isn't it possible that you've stabilised, or that you smoked for so long that it will take a while for the damage to be repaired?

If you want to slow down or reverse then you have to apply an *equal* or *greater* force in the opposite direction - if you take your foot off the pedal does that stop you moving or put you in reverse?

Don't smoke = foot off pedal.
Eat healthily = brakes.
Exercise = Reverse.
All 3 = Turning the car around and driving the right direction.

I used to smoke two Cigs one after another. More than a Pack a Day. By giving up smoking you have added years to your life. Sex will be better, last longer, food tastes better slowly.

Well, you should combined it with some physical activity: Like go for a walk, visit the dogs in the pound, do a good turn, volunteer, help people. That way you will feel better in your core, in your soul.

Try meditation, its good, Its the secret to happiness, thats because its scientifically prove than when you meditate your brains release happiness chemicals. Its Scientifically Prove.

Hope this helps, even religion is a picker upper.

Good Luck

What has improved is internal. You've also eliminated all of the things that smoking affects over time by not smoking anymore. Believe me the effects of long term smoking are nasty and serious. That's what keeps me from starting again even though I sometimes crave cigs. I smoked 3 packs per day for 15 years. Hang in there.

I quit six years ago. I gained some weight. Then I lost it. I smoked a carton a week for 17 years.
The money I saved on smokes went to higher prices at the gas pump and gas& electric bills.
