My fox terrier is 8 yr's and my maltese is 2 yr's. will my maltese be better off in the show ring or the agility course? and will my fox terrier be able to compete well?

I have never seen a Maltese in agility but the fox terrier would or should be great at it.
They are active and busy dogs and most would love to do agility.
The Maltese is more of a lap ornament than a competive type dog but you can try. You never know you may have one that likes it.

If your fox terrier has had any other training, and is used to commands he will do awesome, they are very agile. We have a Jack Russell and he is fantastic. If you take the time with either, they will do fine. Opinion being just that, I think the fox would do better than the Maltese.

fox terriers do well in agility, maltese would do better in a ring, unless they are really motivated and you are a good trainer.
