In my Theatre class, there's a TA [teacher's assistant] for this mentally challenged boy, and on Friday while some people were up on stage doing improv. [one being the boy he had to assist and never really does] he calls out, "OK this is old. No one's laughing, can we get some new people up there?" And he's not even in the class!!!!! I don't see him getting on stage. EVER! Is this right? The other TA who takes attendance for the class actually gets on stage, but he doesn't shout rude comments to the actors, so I have no problem with him.

This guy also harassed me a few times outside of the class. He's student and an upperclassmen. I'm glad you guys care, I didn't want to be 'yelled' at for being so sensitive. I just can't help it...

Not only was he a jerk, his behavior could get him fired. You do NOT insult the mentally challenged student you're responsible for. I'd talk to the teacher of the class, tell him/her that you're really bothered by his behavior. If nothing changes, take it up with school administration. When the person who's supposed to watch out for the student is the abuser, someone else needs to watch out for him.

Take the main theatre instructor, the principal, or even another faculty member aside, and make your feelings known as to how rude you think this assistant has been behaving. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, then have your parents confront them or write a letter to the school or the school board.

That sounds like an obnoxious person. He was probably bored and wanted attention.

He sounds like a real clod to me. Try speaking up and embarrassing him for his cloddish behavior. That is if clods can be embarrassed.

he was being rude, certainly, but there is no law that states you cant heckle someone(s).

just tell him to 'shut up, or get your *** up on that stage'
