I hated being "religious" as you put it. But that was before I actually came to have a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Now, yes I am totally happy. Does that mean that I never have problems anymore? No, I still face problems but they no longer overwhelm me. I am totally at peace within myself.
God's forgiveness has nothing to do with going to church. It has to do with what is in a person's heart. If you just go on sinning on purpose because it is fun or exciting, you are not forgiven and you are not a true believer either.
As to doing something so I can go to heaven...I rarely if ever think about life after death although I know it is a reality. God is with me Today...He walks with his hand on my shoulder Today...He listens to my prayers and has answered everyone of them...today. I wouldn't trade this life I have now for all the fun and excitement in the world. I've been there and it is empty in comparison.

OK genius not ALL religious people go to church on Sunday because not all religious people are Christians.Even some Christians prefer to worship at home.
I am religous but I follow Celtic Paganism. An important part of my faith is to respect and admire life everywhere so exploring the world is good.
Oh and yes I am happy. So happy that I don't have to spend my time asking insulting questions on here!

I am very happy being a Christian and a member of the Catholic faith. I love Mass and the Eucharist, so I don't feel that going to church is an imposition. It's a privilege to go to Mass, and I enjoy my religion very much.
My faith is a lot more than just a bunch of "ideals." Jesus is a Friend Who loves me and wants the best for me, so following His teachings brings me peace and joy.
If you ever make His acquaintance, I think you'll find that all of your previous ideas about church being a grim ordeal will be turned upside down. You'll welcome the chance to spend time in His Presence and learn just how much He loves you.

i am happy, i go to church on Sunday mornings because i want to. See the thing you don't realize is that their is true happieness and freeness in Jesus Christ! until you are saved you don't know what true- genuine happieness is, it is this feeling of the weight of the world being lifted off your shoulders. God does forgive us, but with forgiveness comes repentance and the repentance is on our part, we are supposed to turn from sins, and they only way you can get to heaven is by asking Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you from your sins, and telling him that you believe that he is the son of God and he died on the cross for you! You can explore the world and still be a christian, most people who aren't christian think that we are confined to church on Sunday morning and we are to stay home and have no fun, well christians have alot of fun, we know how to have true fun!

God would not "very own you", suicide is a sin considering the fact it is homicide. in basic terms somewhat of murdering somebody else, you homicide your self. As there is not any thank you to make ammends for it (on account which you're ineffective), it particularly is a touch severe offense. As for being a slave, faith isn't slavery. it particularly is a decision. it is likewise a freedom. It brings some feeling of freedom to boot. You of course did no longer provide faith a honest shake, or had a bad journey with it. in simple terms the thought that there is help obtainable once you experience unquestionably helpless is sufficient. in case you comprehend this, you start to comprehend the freedoms that faith facilitates. as some distance because of the fact the "rules" you talk of, all they're is a ethical backgroud. they're suggestions on how a individual could stay, and that they are plenty extra perfect than what maximum folk in this international shop on with. particular there are some that are a splash obtainable, however the ordinary "rules" are in simple terms there to permit you to stay a non violent and happy existence. in case you seem on the persons who do shop on with them, they're for the main area somewhat happy. Are you???

I am very happy in what I do. I like to explore others' religions and concepts of culture and I am content with findng out what makes the individual turn to or turn away from religion. I'm not sure if I posses any myself, as I feel I know so much about each one that it will be enough for me to everyday pray quietly in my heart and someone will hear me and guide me.

James, I'm very happy having a relationship with Jesus as my lord and savior. And even though I believe in attending church, due to my job, I cannot always go every Sunday. Not every Christian attends church regularly you know.
And Christianity can be very exciting, but what one person considers exciting, may be boring to another person.

Those with faith do not think it prudent to test God. I have encountered testimony of those who have had near-death experiences (illness or accident) and in that moment shift from being non-believers - to a feeling of open-minded humility to a greater power. It could be merely imaginatively induced by fear in an athiest world full of religious allegory, but it alludes to a central purpose of religion: to give meaning to the human conscience.

No I am happy being spiritual, I am religious because I respect others.
My religious philosophy, for now at least, on yahoo answers, is to tell the d*ck headed truth in the most clear cut, sincere and truthful way I can.

Iam very happy with my life being a Christian. I have been on both sides of the coin. I rebelled for many years and was not very happy. When I found my way back to God(20 some odd years ago) my life is totally different. I have no worries, no debts and extreme happiness and have been abundantly blessed
