We are planning a butterfly release at an outdoor wedding. The wedding colors are pink and white. I need help incorporating the butterflies in the decor and centerpieces. Pictures and links would be greatly appreciated.

My sister did something really cute for her cake, she had the cake table outside and put a butterfly net surrounding the cake (the net was held up by a stand) then pinned cloth butterflies all around the net. When it came time to cut the cake it made a really cute background for pictures

I don't really have any pictures, just a warning. Be careful of where you get your butterflies from that you're having released. My friend's mom did that and about 2/3 of the butterflies where dead or still frozen or drugged. They just kind of fell to the ground and fluttered there for a while.

Anyway, I had everything "regular" and just added a lot of butterflies myself, including a few on my cake. I ordered them from www.orientaltradingcompany.com. They were nylon and glittery and in assorted pastel colors. I just tucked one into each centerpiece and throughout the room.

I would say that you can get cutouts or clip ons of butterflys to decorate the hall with. The clip on ones (depending on how small) can be clipped to drinking glasses.

clip the butterflies to the walls, hangings and what not. You can also give one to each guest as they come in to pin on themselves or clip.

Try this site for centerpieces....

toss in a bit of green here and there and make the decorations light and pretty.

Good luck!
