a reflection: I am pretty sure the bible states 'days': http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=genesis%201&version=31

a reflection: are you thick? And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

ps. he casually creates the entire universe (every star and planet) on day four (while fiddling with earth for a full 5 days out of 6):
"Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night.

reflection: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

There, happy? He created a watery ball and he floated on it. AND THEN he takes 5 days to fiddle with earth and every animal and plant and man, 1 day to create every frigging star and planet in the universe, AND THEN he takes centuries to write his message to mankind. Do I get my point across now, thicko?

I think perhaps the 6 days as Moses described where actually more like centuries. This makes a lot of sense, plus I happen to know how hard it is to turn an inspiration from God into worldly words.

YOU NEED TO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT ! the Bible says that he created the various things on the earth in six "creative days " not literal 24 hr days see 2nd Peter 3:8 it took Billions of years to create the universe also the event recorded in the Bible took place over 6,000 year plus time span so he inspired some 40 people to write the bible over a period of 1600 years from Moses to the Apostle John and it was started in 1513 B.C.E. and concluded in 96C.E. so please do your homework o.k. The only thing God wrote is the 10 commandments....... He wrote them with His finger in stone for Moses to take down to the people.
Men wrote the Bible.

how were there days when there was no sun ( the way we know it ), and no darkness to divide it? you skipped a few verses there buddy......

You didn't answer the question.......

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. No sun was there. so the heaven and the earth were created before light and darkness......so your argument is null and void............Heaven and Earth were created before days existed.......

So can you please explain how you can have days before light and darkness existed??????????????? STUMPED!!!

YOU ARE SKIPPING THE FIRST VERSE!!!! WHEN HE CREATED HEAVEN AND EARTH.....get a clue
