A good simple exercise is a sort of criss-cross crunch (it has various possible names), wherein you put your hands behind your head with your elbows sticking out, and do crunches as you bring each elbow to the opposite knee. This way you twist the waist and exercise the muscles around the middle and sides.

corona,

Any exercise, coupled with the right eating program.

There are no exercises that will reduce fat or flab in any one area of the body. Exercises that target muscle groups will strengthen those muscles, but they will not reduce fat tissue in those areas. In order to reduce love handles, we have to eat right and exercise. It'll reduce adipose tissue (fancy doctor's word for "fat") all over the body, including the waist.

To do that there are any number of diets that will work, as long as we do not think of any of them as some sort of magic. No pill, no food will do it for us. We simply have to eat right and in the right amounts.

A really good rule of thumb is the Rule of Ten: take the weight in pounds that you want to weigh, multiply that by ten, and that's how many calories you should eat each day.

Eat mostly vegetables and fruit, in that order. A little lean meat once a day, about the size of a deck of cards, is fine, but everything else should be vegetables and fruit, including dessert.

Don't worry about carbs. If you eat whole grains, including brown steamed rice, you'll be fine. We need some carbs because it's our main energy source. We need some fats, too, for our immune system, Vitamin D production, cell wall structure, and our heart (which runs on fats), but we don't need nearly as many as the restaurants give us.

And exercise vigorously 30-45 minutes a day. Jog, especially, but anything will work, as long as it's an aerobic workout.

You'll get rid of those love handles in no time.

Good luck.

Leg lifts are good. You could do it in the bed. Lay on your sides, your back, and on your stomach. Crunches and Sit-Ups are good as well.
(Smile) My best remedy is making Love!!!

P.S. Do not let it bother you, it is called love handles for a reason.
