like jebus on a cross is an idol, statues of the virgin magdalen and the whore mary are idols.
Doesn`t that costitute a death sentance in the eyes of god?
And if anyone argues that the old testament and modern values are different doesn`t that make god fickle? and prone to mood and whim according to interpritation?

Jesus Christ was and is God. Making an image of Him and worshiping that image would be considered idolatry, but not the worship of Jesus Himself.

Secondly, there is no Biblical evidence to support the notion that Mary Magdalen was a prostitute, that is a view held by tradition.

Third, all sin "constitutes a death sentence" in the eyes of the Lord. That is why we need to accept that Christ paid our penalty for our sins on the cross.

Fourth, no, the Old Testament is a beautiful picture of New Testament truths. It is not meant to be taken literally because we now have a new covenant with Jesus Christ.

Fifth, your question really demonstrates you haven't studied the Bible much and that you have a predisposed negative attitude toward it. Try reading it with an open mind and the understanding that it is God's love letter to us. Bless you!

nicely, first of all are you a Christian? because of the fact i dont think of you're.. idolatry is a sin, as suggested interior the previous testomony, people who worship idols would be punished because of the fact our God is a jealous God and that he's our Lord, our God and that we will no longer produce different gods till now Him. we don't worship idols. we don't worship the psychological pictures of Jesus, nor the bible, nor the carved pictures of the saints. What we worship is the guy who the carved photograph represents, the Lord, our God. The bible, on the different hand, is the written custom that compiles each and all the memories of our faith, like the holy Qura'an of the Islam. it is the place we based upon our strikes, words and deeds. we don't worship the saints for they are not our God. they're the holy persons that function our fashions to look up directly to. we don't declare that God has an antithesis because of the fact God is God and that devil isn't a god. it is subsequently incorrect to analyze God with devil.
