Hello thebest.
The bible uses many phrases to describe Jesus.
He's called The Prince of Peace,
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah,
The Lamb slain before the foundation of the world,
Son of Man,
King of Kings,
Lord of Lords,
Our kinsman redeemer,
The Word made flesh,
Our Mediator,
The Alpha and the Omega (the First and the Last)
Righteous Judge,
Wonderful,
Counselor,
and many others. "God with us" (Greek "Immanuel") is another descriptive title. This was not meant to mean that this would be His actual name.
I hoped this helped.
A2Z is giving you the muslim version and twisting the bible and taking it out of context. Of course Jesus claimed to be the son of God. He was asked if He was the son of God at His trial. (Matthew 26:63) His answer sealed His fate. We all know what happened next.
While Jesus was being executed for His answer, the Romans placed a sign on the top of His cross which read "King of the Jews" in three languages. It was common practice to post a sign on the accused to tell the public what their crime was. A custom still practiced today in some countries such as China and others.
His accusers went to Pilate and demanded he change the sign to read "He said 'I am the King of the Jews'." but Pilate refused.
"King of the Jews" was a title reserved for the Messiah and this was well understood by His accusers.
The teachings of Paul are in line with the teachings of Jesus. This issue is easily resolved by reading and comparing the texts.

It explains it in the passage "God is with us." We call God by many names, Lord, Almighty, Immanuel, Savior, Redeemer, Yahwey, etc. Each have a slightly different meaning, but refer to God. Jesus was the name He was given, but what he is called by man is still God. Since God became man (Jesus) God was now with us - hence, Immanuel.

The prophecy says that Jesus will be called Imanuel (not named Immanuel). He is called Immanuel.

Immanuel is a title, not a name. Jesus is the Immanuel.

Personally, I was given two names. I think a lot of people have had two names. They were also told to call him Jesus, because he would save his people from their sins.

Emmanuel just means God with us, as in human form. It's not a name, more of a title. God told Mary to name him Jesus.

All stunning factors different than one. finished immersion baptism grew to become right into a prepare of the early Church and an apostolic custom. The very be conscious "Baptism" means immersed and limitless early Church records talk over with baptism by technique of immersion, one such occasion is the "Didache" additionally we've the archaeological info of Baptismal fonts in many early church homes, all of that are patently the size suited to finished physique immersion. Having reported this, finished immersion isn't the only way a individual may be baptized, there are actual some exceptions and outdoors of the "Catholic" faith, that being "widely used", no longer "Roman Catholic", none have the authority in Christ to baptize as they have not any anointed priesthood so of their case the act isn't something better than a gesture and public exhibit. quote- "David, my factor is that the Bible does not checklist the technique of Baptism. specific the Catholic Church has practiced this from the commencing up yet we are actually not Bible in user-friendly terms instructors and this technique or the different isn't in the Bible. they do no longer seem to be being genuine to their heretical doctrine of Sola Scriptura. My question is why?" My apologies, I study your question to advise you have been suggesting that it grew to become into unbiblical for any to have finished immersion baptisms. back my apologies.

It's because there's more to a name than just "the name". There is meaning behind names.

How did Jesus' people know him?
If the followers of Jesus (peace be upon him) considered God to be their "Father,"
Then how did they regard Jesus?
To answer this let us read together
"And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet" [Matthew 14:5 (compare with Matthew 21:26)]
"And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee." [Matthew 21:11]
"But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet" [Matthew 21:46]
"And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:" [Luke 24:19]
"The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet" [John 4:19]
"Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world." [John 6:14]
"Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the prophet" [John 7:40]
Indeed, how did Jesus himself describe himself? Let us read
"Nevertheless I (Jesus) must walk to day, and to morrow, and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem." [Luke 13:33]
"And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house" [Matthew 13:57]
This is once again confirmed in the noble Qur'an:
"And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Verily! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was [revealed] before me in the Torah" The Holy Qur'an , Chapter 61 , Verse 6

Jesus never claimed to be GOD
And behold! God will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, 'worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God?'" He will say: "Glory to you. Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Yours. For you know in full what is hidden. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 116
They do blaspheme who say "God is the Christ the son of Mary." But Christ said "O Children of Israel! Worship God, (who is) my Lord and your Lord." Whosoever joins other gods with God - God will forbid him the Garden, and the fire will be his abode... They do blaspheme who say "God is one of three in a Trinity". For there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verses 72-73.
The True Founder of Christianity
Did Jesus or his Apostles follow a religion called Christianity? Who were the first 'Christians' ? Who founded Christianity and do the teachings of Christianity conform to the teachings of Jesus?
The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.
