Is it bad to say happy birthday to an ex if if it's been OVER for a little more than one year? My ex-boyfriend's b-day is comig up in April, & I'm not sure if I should say something or not. If i do say something ,I will NOT call him, but I will either send him a very short & casual email or just say something on msn. HE was the one who ended the realtionship last year and we dated for a short while. We never had sex cuz he knew I'm saving myself for marriage. Also, he use to say hi to me on msn. And 2 months ago he called me & wanted to see a movie. I went with him, but he hasn't contacted me since. Would I seem desperate if I just tell him a casual birthday greeting?

I think it would be very nice if you send him a card and let him know that he's still in your thoughts in some sort of way.

Ya,you should send him a b day card just cause you break up with someone doesnt mean you dont talk to them anymore or give them the cold shoulder ,thats immature if he didnt do anything that bad while you were together then theres no reason to not send him a card .

i don't think you would sound desperate if you send him a email or message. be the bigger person in this if it is meant to be then u giys will get back together but a simple happy b-day will not make it any worse or better

it depends what kind of relationship you 2 have. if youre still friends and talk a lot (except for the past 2 months) then go for it....if not, then itll probably just be weird and it might send the wrong message out

No I don't think so. Just make sure the birthday card is casual and not mushy and very romantic...just light..more of a friendship birthday card. That will do it.
