Time after time I read about there being no "proof" of evolution from purported religious individuals. There is fossil evidence of not only extinct hominids, but other animals. I can offer up an abundance of different venues that support the evolutionary thought. Does anyone have any "proof" that the bible is written through spiritual inspiration or the existence of God.

well the first line of the bible kind of says it all "..In the begining God created the heavens and the earth" look at the stars, our universe, the sun, and the earth, does that look like anything other than God created it? Exactly they're fossils God still created the animals but he made them extinct for a reason, and as to wether or not evolution is real, look at yourself....do you look like a monkey? No you don't unless you are dressed up in a furry monkey suit and if you do Lord help you. My proof is faith, i don't have to have physical proof to show that i believe something. Were you here when he created the heavens and the earth, how do you suppose they got here...the big bang? No, who created the little thing the big banged out of? I'm pretty sure there was a really big bang when God created the earth but we didn't pop out of nowhere, if we did who created the nowhere? Faith is the answer! God Bless.

Can you prove that you exist? Yes, of course you can. You merely use your senses to determine that you can see, hear, feel, smell, taste and you have emotions as well. All of this is a part of your existence. But this is not how we perceive God in Islam. We can look to the things that He has created and the way that He cares for things and sustains us, to know that there is no doubt of His existence.

Think about this the next time that you are looking up at the moon or the stars on a clear night; could you drop a drinking glass on the sidewalk and expect that it would hit the ground and on impact it would not shatter, but it would divide up into little small drinking glasses, with iced tea in them? Of course not.

And then consider if a tornado came through a junkyard and tore through the old cars; would it leave behind a nice new Mercedes with the engine running and no parts left around? Naturally not.

Can a fast food restaurant operate itself without any people there? That's crazy for anyone to even think about.

After considering all of the above, how could we look to the universe above us through a telescope or observe the molecules in a microscope and then think that all of this came about as a result of a "big bang" or some "accident?"

There ARE demonstrations as to the existence of God, since man can know that God exists through the light of natural reason alone (independently of whether or not he has faith). The study of these paths that allow our intelligence to arrive at the certitude that there does exist a Being who created the world and who Himself is uncreated and the source of all that exists is called "theodicy" (the classical term) or "natural theology" (the more modern term -- contrary to the name, it is not theology though, but rather philosophy: it only relies on the light of natural reason).

I cannot give you these "proofs" (more correctly called "demonstrations") of the existence of God in a short, 5- to 10-line answer. It is an entire field of study to itself. I would encourage you to find a good textbook of natural theology and to study it in depth.

Also, there is no "proof" of divine inspiration. That is an article of Faith, and those who do not have Faith cannot be "forced" or coerced into believing. On the other hand, there is no "proof" of evolution either. What you mention are not proofs, for the evidence is far from being scientifically irrefutable. The fact that there could have been a process of "evolution" from less complex to more complex life forms is quite possible. But it is impossible that man (human beings, which are endowed with a will and an intellect) could have "evolved" from creatures without them. Why? Because the will and intellect are spiritual faculties of the human soul, and spiritual faculties or powers cannot "evolve" from non-spiritual ones. Animals do not have spiritual faculties (will and intellect), and neither do plants...nor, of course, inanimate objects. Man alone does.

I hope this helps you in your quest for true wisdom.

God is commonly the name given to the supreme and perfect principle of life.

So in order to give you proof, I need to prove that perfect and supreme exist.

Perfection:

Anything that is imperfect is held to be so by the absence of perfection. So if any imperfect thing exists, there necessarily be a proportion of perfection in it, otherwise, if you do away with perfection, there is no way you can judge that which is held to be imperfect.

Supreme:

Anything that is superior to all other things is in itself good, since nothing can be conceived of as being better than it.
However, if you thought that this goodness was given to it, you would be able to count the giver superior to the receiver, but this is not right if we are talking about something that is superior.

There's a start.

Ahh, the ol' double edged sword.
Most unbiased observers would say that extinction and adaptation of species is clear cut empirical evidence of the process of natural selection or evolution. On the other hand, there is no "proof" of the existence of God or that the bible is anything other than a really good collection of fables from antiquity. Regardless of the ire raised in religious zealots' hearts and souls, there just is no proof.
Believing in something without any supporting facts is (as the church itself refers to it) the definition of "faith".

P.S. - The followers of the "Heaven's Gate" cult had faith also.

Yes! Look around you! How did the entire world just happen to turn out so perfect and laid out in an exact way so that everything works together? How is it that the sun is the perfect distance away so that it doesn't burn us to a crisp, and at the same time, we don't freeze to death? Big Bang? Sure, but not quite the way you are probably thinking. I'm saying, God spoke and BANG!, it happened. He designed everything perfectly and in 7 days! Hope this helps!

Maybe they just get a 'feeling'. Or maybe it's the overwhelming population surrounding them that pounds the idea that not believing an illogical set of arguments is going to gain them an eternity of torment in hell, and that believing will earn them an eternity in heaven...

Actually, for any with any understanding of probability take a look at a world map with the percentages of religous peoples in different regions marked and you can see that is almost certainly the case.

I also want to thank all of you atheists. By attacking me and forcing me to defend my religion you have increase my resolve that there is a god. You see the nature of God is not something we humans are capable of understanding. Religion is based on faith. I do know the all of the answers to the mysteries of God. But I have heard of enough people who had near death experiences to know there is an afterlife. I have also seen, or know people who have seen enough miracles to know there is a god.

Do you want to know something else. Most Christians who are religious are good people. The are law abiding, give to the poor. When all hope is lost we put our faith in God. A lot better than atheists who turn to substance abuse.

I'm afraid that your question CANNOT be answered

no one on this Earth can possible explain how the universe came to exist, how, when etc.

People can teach you about God, but if you don't want to listen or believe, then you won't

Do you believe in God?

I believe that God created the universe and life, and things went on from there. I believe that the theory of evolution is the best possible explanation to how life evolved from single celled organinsms, don't know y some christians oppose this......

if you believe in God, you will find your own proof of Him in your life

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.
