Government is powerful, so powerful, that some of the state governments look into Supreme Courts decisions with scant regard.
Politicians have commented satirically or even admonishing the Judiciary and the Judges. Please refer to recent media reports.
If such events could happen and the urban elites remain meek spectators to this drama buried under their growth strategies in front of their systems, why to speak of the naive rural Indian common man!
Local opinion is controlled by the rank and file of this power pyramid . Freedom to speak is slowly taking a back seat.
It is not only rural education which will improve the quality of rural life style but also the awareness of the common man on the privileges available to him and procedures simple enough to reach and enjoy.

It is because the government has become powerful with the money from industries and big businesses they get huge amount of money from them. That's what you see flow of money during election times. They are smart enough to understand that they will get nothing in return from the rural areas. So rural areas are being ignored.

Rural areas lack infrastructure for development. Rural population is still depends on vagaries of nature. They are superstitious. In a democracy , when the majority party forms a Govt. it is powerful. Powerful does not mean all round development.

lack of education, poverty, uncertain income, lesser scope of development even though the government allocates funds for the same, which does not reach fully to the deserved, absence of scientific and experienced guidance, vulnerability to deceases with lack of proper medical assistance, and finally because of politicians who go to rural areas just for canvassing votes, and forget them and live in urban areas with their family with full comforts, not serving for the purpose for which he or she elected.false promises, natures furies and minimal safeguard against the calamities.and ,a few who have their education switching over to urban areas to earn.and ..... and .....do you really happen to see any politician who get elected from your area again in your street or your door step.may you could meet them when the next election is conducted.

Because the liberals live in the cities and for them to move to the rural areas would make them drive to far to pick up their welfare checks.
