...and your relatives refuse to spend money for a funeral, so they dump your carcass on the side of the road to rot, would that hurt your feelings? Would you care?
I'm assuming no since you wouldn't exactly have the luxury of an afterlife when you would witness such an abuse. Right?
Just curious...

You are brilliant. So, I am an atheist, so therefor my family hates me and is willing to break the law and leave a dead body on the side of the road. Allright, now we have an illogical evaluatable scenerio to imagine. Well, no, I would not care because, yes, I am dead and that body no longer has the conscious thought that could give me likes and dislikes. Now my pretty, is it better to be buried six feet deep in a casket that crushes under the weight of the earth being poured upon you, or maybe cremation, since I am sure you think that is appropriate since anyone who is not like you will burn in eternal damnation. God night pretty...

I may have totally missed your point, BUT,
Wouldn't the BELIEF IN AN AFTERLIFE make one LESS CONCERNED with the disposal / interment of his remains? I don't think that the scenario you put forth affects Atheists or Believers one way or another,.. 'sounds like a personal preference to me?
In fact, you sound like you're angry at Atheists. This kind of jab at them only pisses them off and makes Christians look like fundamental idiots. Even IF you're of some other non-Christian religion, Christians will catch the brunt of rants like this. You're not doing any good here.

I wouldn't exist anymore, so I wouldn't be able to care.
But wouldn't it be better to burn the body? It might help curb the fly population, and it'd probably smell a lot better than having a body rot on the side of the road.

I'm fairly certain my estate will be able to pay the costs of my wake and getting rid of my carcass. But no, I won't be needing it anymore so I don't really care what they do with it. Whether it's donated to science for research or whether it's cremated. Why would I care?

what has an afterlife got to do with respectfully buring the dead? I thought most religions believe that when they die, they leave their body on earth and their souls go to THE destination, really by the same reasoning theists should not mind what happens to their body after they die also.
Also bro, go pick on someone your own size. you are really out of your league here

Actually I took that out of my relatives hands - it's real easy to do that all you need is a legal Last Will and Testament and they are bound by your wishes. Besides, I don't believe in overblown funerals costing many thousands of dollars... stoke up the fire and spread my ashes.

Do you really believe that will convince Atheists to convert to Christianity? I recommend that you try to build them up and give them a reason to trust Jesus, rather than knock them down and mock them. Then you are behaving just like them.
As a Christian, I would expect a Christian to have compassion, and understanding. Yet you seem to be saying that Christians mock those without faith, and find themselves to be better than others. This is not true.
Be like the Lord Jesus, Take the position of a patient servant, and then others will be encouraged to trust the Lord, who sacrificed because he loves them.

I'm hoping someone will either crisp my fanny or let the wild animals chew my carcass... I don't want to take up any more space on this planet once I'm dead.
If I'm lucky and offer up enough sacrificial politicians... I'm secretly hoping Godzilla will see fit to punt me to Saturn before I die and thus free up everyone else to do as they will.

I do not want to be buried in a coffin - just put me in a hole in the ground and plant a tree on top of me. We are suppose to give back to the earth when we are dead - but our arrogance keeps us from doing so. We come from the dirt and to the dirt we shall return!!!!

No, nobody' feelings could be hurt after death. Dead people don' feel a thing.
When you're eating a piece of steak, do you suppose the cow cares ? Do you hurt its feelings by eating it ?
Just curious.
